Do you offer free quotations and how long are they valid for ?
Yes. We offer a free home visit and a written quote, with no obligation to go ahead. We measure your bathroom or kitchen, talk through your plans and set out the work and price in writing. Your quote makes clear which materials and fittings are included and what you’ll need to supply yourself.
Your quote is valid for 30 days from the date of issue. If you’d like to go ahead, we’ll agree an available start date with you and reserve it once you’ve accepted the quote and paid the deposit.

Can I choose my own tiles and fittings, or can you supply them?
The choice is entirely yours. You can buy the tiles and fittings you like from whichever supplier you prefer. If you’d like to order through us, just ask. We can help you place the order and pass on our trade discount where it applies.
For installation materials such as tile adhesive and waterproofing, we use products we know and trust. If you’d like to buy these yourself before work starts, we’ll tell you exactly what to order.

How long does a full bathroom renovation take?
A smaller bathroom can take as little as seven days. If we’re moving pipework, converting a room into a bathroom or combining two rooms into one, we usually allow around two weeks, or up to three weeks for a more complex project.
A full renovation involves more than covering existing tiles with new tiles or PVC panels. We strip the room back, going down to brick where needed. That’s when we may find walls that need strengthening, damp areas that need time to dry or floorboards that need replacing. We allow time for those repairs, for waterproofing to cure and for pipework checks before tiling. If anything we uncover affects the timescale, we’ll explain it to you.
We plan the work to keep your toilet usable for as long as possible. If we need to disconnect it, we’ll let you know in advance and keep that interruption as short as we can. If it’s your only bathroom, or you rely on accessible facilities, we’ll talk through your daily needs before work starts and plan each stage to minimise disruption.

How long does a full kitchen renovation take?
A small kitchen can take around a week if we’re replacing the flooring and fitting new units in the existing layout. A more involved refit often takes around a week and a half to two weeks. A full renovation can take around three weeks, particularly if the floor needs extra preparation and time to dry before tiling.
At the first visit, we’ll look at your room, talk through what you’d like to change and give you a timescale for your kitchen. We’ll also explain when your sink and hob are likely to be out of use, so you can plan meals around the work.

Can you replace my bath with a walk-in shower or wet room?
Yes. We can remove your bath and fit a walk-in shower or create a wet room. At the first visit, we’ll check the floor height, drainage and available space. We’ll explain whether a shower with a completely level entrance will work in your room or whether a low-profile tray would be a better fit.
If easier access is your priority, we’ll talk through the entrance width and layout with you so the shower is comfortable to use day to day. Our team takes care of the whole conversion, from removing the bath to waterproofing, tiling and fitting the shower.

Do you offer a guarantee on your installation work?
Yes. We offer a one-year workmanship guarantee on our bathroom and kitchen installations. If you notice an issue with our work during that time, contact TIG Projects directly. Our team will take a look and put right any issue covered by the guarantee.
Which areas do you cover?
We carry out bathroom and kitchen renovations across Liverpool and the surrounding areas, including Prescot, Rainhill, St Helens, Widnes and Warrington. If you’re nearby and aren’t sure whether we cover your area, send us your postcode and we’ll let you know.
How will you protect my home during the renovation?
Before work starts, we protect your stairs and the floors along the route we’ll use to carry tools, materials and waste. Where space allows, we set up a covered cutting area outside to help keep tile dust out of your home.
Once the work is complete, we remove the coverings and leave both the renovated room and the areas we’ve used clean and tidy.

Are the tradespeople working on my renovation qualified?
Yes. Our team includes qualified professionals in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, kitchen fitting and tiling. Our tilers holds NVQ Level 2 certificates in Wall and Floor Tiling (CITB Cskills Awards and ProQual) site safety training (CITB SSSTS) You can see the certificates on our About page.
If your renovation includes gas work, such as installing a new gas boiler, a Gas Safe registered engineer qualified for that type of work will carry it out. We’ll explain which certificates or records apply to your installation and make sure you receive the relevant paperwork.
TIG Projects coordinates the work from start to finish, so you have one point of contact throughout your renovation.

Can you help me plan the layout of my bathroom or kitchen, and can I see it in 3D?
Yes. During your free home visit, we’ll measure the room and talk through layout options with you. We’ll look at where fittings or kitchen units could go, how much room you’ll have to move around and whether any pipework would need to be moved.
If you’d like to see the proposed layout in 3D, we can arrange a visualisation on request for an additional fee. We’ll let you know the cost first, so you can decide whether it would be helpful for your project.

Do you also do outdoor tiling?
Yes. We install porcelain and natural stone paving for patios, terraces and driveways. We prepare the base and lay the paving with the right slope so rainwater drains away from your home. For driveways, we make sure both the base and the paving are suitable for vehicle use.
Can I see examples of renovations similar to mine?
Yes. Our Projects page features completed bathroom and kitchen renovations. We also share our work on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube, where you can see the stages behind the finished rooms, from preparing floors and installing underfloor heating to tiling and fitting.
If you’re planning a wet room, a kitchen refit or a layout change, tell us what you have in mind and we’ll point you towards a similar project we’ve completed.
